Don’t Let Your Mind Steal Your Joy!

What are you willing to do, to protect your joy?

If someone robbed your home of things that were precious to you, and then continued to rob you over and over again, you’d likely make it a point to be aware of the matter and take action to stop the robbing.  What are  you willing to do, to stop your monkey mind from stealing your joy.

Our monkey mind can cause us worry anything.  In fact, renaming it the “what if something is wrong” mind, would make sense.  If not stopped, it will have us worrying about every potential, regardless of whether we can do something about it, at that moment.  Without awareness of what the monkey mind is doing, the monkey mind will steal our joy!

The monkey mind steals our joy, by keeping us up at night worrying about the past or feared future events, that are thoughts, not real threats, or at least, cannot be resolved or acted on, at the time the worrying ensues.  It causes us to have difficulty relaxing and to not be in the present moment with the people we care most about.  This drains our energy and steals our joy!
